Eco-friendly, green policies that motivated Villa Batalha Hotel
Villa Batalha Hotel is an eco-friendly hotel and is equipped with an intelligent electrical system that saves energy in every part of the hotel, from a simple socket plug to the air conditioning, as well as refrigerators and elevators.
Any of these devices may be controlled from a computer in reception.
Low power LED lamps are used in the hotel's whole interior, allowing for a reduction in consumption of about 40% compared to other hotels with the same dimensions and valences. This lighting also allows for the reduction of CO2 emissions, as it does not produce heat which reduces the requirements for the use of air conditioning in order to offset the emission of heat.
Villa Batalha Hotel is equipped with 50 solar panels.
The hotel has a system for harnessing the waters from the sinks, showers and rains, which are treated in our mini-treatment plant and reused in the toilets and for watering the gardens.
The double facades are self-ventilated, allowing for excellent thermal behaviour, and the consequent reduction of energy consumption.
